Mr. Campbell was born in Lee County on March 13, 1924 to the late Joseph Edwin Campbell and Fannie Rosser Campbell. He is preceded in death by a son Barron Campbell and a granddaughter Crystal Diane Campbell.
Mr. Campbell joined the US Army during World War II, serving in the 847th Ordinance Division. He toured in Germany and France.
