Obituary
Joyce Allen Scott Buchanan, 88 of Sanford passed away Monday February 15, 2021. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Lee Memory Gardens chapel.
Mrs. Buchanan was born in Moore Co, daughter of the late Furman Scott and Lizzie Mae Allen Scott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Watson Buchanan and her son in law, Marvin Donald Hurd; sisters, Beulah Armstrong, Aileen Coe, Elva Cameron, Mary Mae Thorpe; a brother, Duncan Scott.
Mrs. Buchanan is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Hurd of Sanford; son Ronnie Buchanan (Melinda) of Sanford; grandchildren, Brittany Hurd, Brian Hurd (Laura), Adam Hurd, Lindsay Chapman (Brandon), and Chelsea Collazo (AJ); great grandchildren, Cadenze Hurd, Trey Hurd, Gracyn Chapman, Calan Chapman, and Emersyn Collazo; and a niece Sandra Taylor.
The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service.
