Zeferino Vazquez Fernandez, 61, of Broadway passed away on May 21, 2026. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday May 29, 2026, at St. Stephen Catholic Church at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Wednesday May 27, 2026, at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.

Zeferino was a kind, funny, talkative social person who never met a stranger. He made friends everywhere he went. He was funny and loved telling jokes and stories. He enjoyed dancing, music, cooking for his family and friends, grilling, and caring for his 3 beloved horses. He was proud of his boots, hats, and found a new love for his salads.

He is survived by his wife Maria Zarate Martinez; children Erica Vazquez, Eddie Vazquez, Michelle Vazquez, and Rafael Vazquez; grand children Emiliano Arellano and Analia Arellano; and his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephew, cousins, and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rafael Vazquez and Guadalupe Fernandez.
