William Gene Cole

William “Gene” Cole, 74 of Sanford passed away Wednesday July 27, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Monday at Grace Chapel cemetery.

Mr. Cole will lie in state in the Church from 9:30 till 11:00am.

Mr. Cole was born Newport News, VA, son of the late Earl Cole and Lizzie Mae Holt Cole. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Cole. Gene was a member of Grace Chapel Church and owned and operated Cole Brothers Landscaping business for many years.

Mr. Cole is survived by his wife, Helen Mitchell Cole; daughter, Regina Cole and husband Samuel of Sanford; son, Junior Cole of Sanford; three grandchildren, Jordan, Elizabeth, and Brayden; one sister, Donna Shaw of Sanford.
