Wesley James Miller Sr

June 23, 1945 — December 21, 2018

Wesley James Miller Sr, 73 of Sanford passed away Friday December 21, 2018.  A Memorial service will be held at 11:00am Friday (12/28/2018) at First Apostolic Church. Burial will follow in New Hampshire at a later date.

 

Mr. Miller was born in Hanover, NH, son of the late George Wesley Miller and Nell Ruth Hathaway Miller. Wesley Sr. served in the Air Force during the Vietnam conflict and worked for the same company for 46 years as a forklift operator, refrigeration maintenance, and finally as a general maintenance man for a large grocery store chain in New England and New York. Wesley Sr. was a volunteer for many organizations and dedicated more than 15 years of his life to being a Cub Scout and Webelos Master for the youth of mid-western NH. His humor, dedication, loyalty, and unfaltering ability to care for others will be missed by all who knew him.

 

He left this world calmly and with his wife of 53 years holding his hand and letting him know how much he was loved. He is being mourned by his wife (Patricia Davis Miller), his sons (Rodney W. Miller [NH], and Wesley J Miller Jr. [MD]), Rodney's wife (Karen Miller) and two children (Tabatha and Tyler Miller); Wesley's fiancé  (Lisa Rhodes) and his two step children (Lily and Ellie Meeks).
