Violette Gilmore

Violette Lett Gilmore, 98, of Sanford passed away Wednesday July 1, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Sunday July 5, 2020 at 2pm at Rogers Pickard funeral home. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Gilmore was born in Harnett Co. to the late Willie P. Lett and Verta Cox Lett. She was also preceded in death by her husband John Elwood Gilmore. She was a longtime member of Cool Springs Baptist Church and retired from Belk Department Store.

She is survived by her daughter Vicki Gilmore of Raleigh; son David “Doc” Holmes of GA; and sister Selma Cummings of Lillington.

The family will greet friends following the service.
