Velma Maddox Thomas

Velma Ann Maddox Thomas, 81 of Sanford passed away Sunday August 28, 2022. Funeral services will be held on September 24, 2022, at 11 am at Pocket Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Thomas was born in Sanford, daughter of the late James David Maddox and Bertha Edwards Maddox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Ezel Thomas; sons Dale Dennis Larsen and Scott Thomas; daughter Ann Larsen; and grandson David Charles Larsen II.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her son David Charles Larsen (Yvonne) of North Dakota; daughter Vickie Doby (Rick) of Dodson, NC; brothers William Earl Maddox (Kathy) of Sanford and Kenneth Wayne Maddox (Michelle) of Conway, SC; and grandchildren Laura Larsen Chaussee (Ben), Emily Larsen, Shane Lewis, Jason Lewis (Alison) and Jodie Lewis Salter (Brian).
