Stephen Ray Suitt

Stephen Ray “Steve” Suitt, 73 of Sanford passed away Sunday March 10, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday (3/14/2024) at St Luke United Methodist Church.

Steve was born in Lee Co, a son of the late Nelson Thomas Suitt Sr and Peggy Nan Campbell Suitt. He was a graduate of Sanford Central High School and Shaw University. He was an avid fan of Duke and the Atlanta Braves, loved golf, and playing softball, and was a Free Mason.

Mr. Suitt is survived by his wife, Beverly S. Suitt; daughters, Angela Denise Suitt Boggs (Tommy), Melissa Nicole Suitt Byrd (Richard), and Meredith Ashley Suitt; sons, Christopher Matthew Garner (Stephanie) and Keith Miller Garner; sisters, Robin Suitt Davidson and Tammy Suitt Watkins; brother, Nelson Thomas Suitt Jr (Connie); five grandchildren, Lyndy Boggs, Leanna Boggs, Cameron Mashburn, Kensley Suitt and Melinda Garner; one great grandchild and one on the way.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am Thursday in the Ladies Parlor at St Luke United Methodist Church.
