Mr. Carlyle was born in Moore County, a son the late Samuel Escar Carlyle.
Mr. Carlyle is survived by his mother Annie Elizabeth Oakley Carlyle; son Scott Carlyle Jr. of Sanford; daughters Sierra Carlyle and Sadie Carlyle of Sanford; brothers Randy Carlyle of Cameron and Kevin Dickens of Texas.
