Sandra Lee Wilkins Bullock

March 15, 1937-June 24, 2025

Sandra died peacefully at Parkview Retirement Village after a long and brave battle with dementia. She was the daughter of James Carl and Martha Roberta Rich Wilkins. She was born in Anna, IL and died in Sanford, NC after having lived in Baker, LA for 57 years. She was married to Richie Quinn Bullock, Jr. for 65 years, until his death; and mother to two daughters: Sheree Clement (Ed) and Lisa Drew (Billy) who survive her. She leaves four grandchildren to honor her memory: Whitney Clement Duke (Jonathan), Denon Drew Stacy (Dallas), Dane Drew (Kendyl), and Caitlin Clement Reese (John). She leaves six great-grandchildren: Jonathan “Hoss” Duke, Camden Drew, Etta Anne Reese, Dakota Stacy, Joshua Duke, and Denver Stacy. She is survived by her sister, Sue Wilkins (Jim), and her sister-in-law Bonnie Ellzey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews: Jimmy Ellzey, Cindy Little (Don), Dirk Wilkins (Ginger), Scott Wilkins, Todd Bullock (Kim), and Kim Cutrera (Bobby).

Sandra graduated in 1955 from Anna-Jonesboro Community High School as the Class Valedictorian. She graduated from Louisiana College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 1959. She was a Campus Beauty of 1958, a May Court Member, Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, Student Congress Treasurer, and Alpha Chi honoree.

She was an elementary grade school teacher for over 25 years at Baker Heights Elementary School. She was also a long time member of First Baptist Church of Baker, LA-serving as a choir member, interim choir leader, youth trip chaperone, youth Bible teacher, WMU Director and deacon’s wife.

Sandra was a faithful woman in every part of her life: devoted and self-sacrificing wife, mother, and grandmother; dependable church and choir member; diligent school teacher; and dedicated LSU baseball fan. She was a loved Memaw and a lovely woman all of her life.

Our profound thanks go to all of the Parkview employees who treated her like family.

Any memorial gifts can be made to FBC Sanford Children’s Playground Fund or Gideons International.

Her family will honor her with a private memorial service.
