Roy Sims Cox

Roy Sims Cox, 89 of Sanford passed away Thursday December 15, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Sunday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.

Mr. Cox was born in Lee Co, son of the late Garland Sims Cox and Ina Foushee Cox. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Navy, and retired from Holt Truck and Tractor. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his sisters, Fleta Fleming, Edna Burge, Ernestine Vance and Thelma Cox.

Mr. Cox is survived by his wife Nellie Lett Cox; son Gregory Sims Cox and wife My-Linh; grandson, Preston Van Cox; three nieces and one nephew.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00pm Sunday before the Funeral.
