Ronnie Paul Godfrey

Ronnie Paul Godfrey, 77, of Sanford passed away May 15, 2024, at FirstHealth Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Monday May 20, 2024, at 1pm at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Lemon Springs Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 12pm before the service at the funeral home.

Ronnie was born in Lee County to on November 17, 1946, to the late Willie Paul Godfrey and Viola Baker Collins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Willie Everette Godfrey, Timothy James Godfrey, and Terry Lee Perdue; and sisters Marie Sheffield and Kay Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis Gault Godfrey; daughters Dawn Godfrey, Brenda Johnson, and Sherry Godfrey; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings Joe Godfrey (Lois), Jack Godfrey (Debra), Linda Patterson (Halford), Darlene Turner (Ronnie), Paula Rinehart (Steve), Deborah Walker (Ron), Regina Daniels, and Diane Perdue; and stepmother Doris Godfrey.

Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
