Richard McKinley Rogers

Richard McKinley Rogers, 64 of Sanford passed away Wednesday October 20, 2021.

Mr. Rogers was born in Lee County to the late Burt Townsend Rogers and Phoebe Jane Hardy Rogers. He was also preceded in death by son Blake McKinley Rogers; brother Lee Townson Rogers and sisters Lillie Mae McLeod and Susan Driggers.

Richard is survived by daughters Amanda Dennis Carter-Moore (Justin) of TX, Candy Rogers Speagle (James) of Castle Haynes, NC, and Stormy Johnson (Jason)of Broadway; his life partner Carol Hickman; brother Keller M Pate (Kathy) of Oak Island, NC, sister Virginia Riggins of Mebane, NC; grandchildren Richard Craig Carter, JoHanna Grace Carter, Noah Lucas Johnson, Nathan Reece Johnson, Allie Nicole Johnson, and Vanessa Paige Moore; great grandchild Laney Claire Carter.

The family will receive friends at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home Saturday, October 23rd, from 6:00 until 8:00pm.
