Richard Dennis Lyons

Richard Dennis “Yank” Lyons, 72 of Sanford passed away Wednesday February 5, 2025.

The family will gather from 1:00 until 3:00 pm Saturday February 15th at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home to celebrate Mr. Lyons life.

Yank was born in Manhattan, NY a son of the late Howard Lyons and Martha Jane Kesler Lyons. He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Lyons and a brother, Howard Lyons. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing at the Outer Banks, racing and working.

Mr. Lyons is survived by his wife, Debbie Louise Adamson Lyons; children, Richard Dennis Lyons (Sherri), Rachel L. Hinson (Tom), Christina Kirby (Robert), and Stephanie Ann Hess (Jason); brothers, Steven Lyons and Donald Lyons; grandchildren, Brittany Scott, Ryan Holder, Dalton Hess, Ethan Kirby, and Maverick Hess; great grandson, Brayden Scott.
