I am so saddened to learn of Rick's death. He was a friend and colleague and I always looked forward to spending time with him at our various meetings and seminars. My prayers are with the family.

I first got to know Rick as a fellow domestic lawyer in the mid 1990's. We had two cases against each other and resolved both of them in an amicable manner. Later we served as Mediators for one another in other cases. I always enjoyed seeing Rick's big smile and jovial way of describing even the most complex legal problem. I know his family and close friends will miss but the family law bar misses him also. He was a good lawyer and a good person. John Narron

I have known Rick since my legal career started in Smithfield in the early '80's. Rick was always a respected and respectful opponent, and also became a very formidable mediator in complex family law cases. I have appreciated my friendship with him over the years, and extend my condolences to his family in your time of loss.

Rick was a good friend to me, who stood by me when many didn't, which is to his credit and not mine. I sorrow at his passing, along with his family and other friends. I am grateful I knew him.
