Richard Gibbs Davenport Jr.

Richard Gibbs Davenport Jr, 60 of Sanford passed away Monday January 30, 2023. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday (Feb 3^rd) at Manna Church, Sanford. A private burial will be held at Buffalo Cemetery at a later date.

Gibbs was born in Sanford a son of the late Richard G. Davenport Sr and Peggy Price Davenport. He was a graduate of Lee Co High School and an avid NCSU and Dallas Cowboy’s fan.

Mr. Davenport is survived by his sister, Mary Davenport Crissman (Larkin) of Sanford; brother, Michael Currie Davenport (Valerie) of Sanford; several nieces and nephews; his girlfriend, Susan Rowe.
