Richard William Blakeley Sr. 77, of High Point, formerly of Sanford, peacefully passed away Saturday April 14, 2018 at Central Carolina Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 7:00pm Wednesday April 18, 2018 Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.

Richard was born in Lee County, on January 25, 1941 to Grover Blakeley and Mattie Cole Blakeley.

Richard is survived by his son Richard Blakeley (Julie) of Sanford; daughters Julie Davis (Joey) of Sanford, Pamela Blakeley (Assad) of High Point, Candace Blakeley of Sanford and Sabine Steiner of Germany; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister’s Carolyn Dix (Stacey) of Sanford and Denise Coley (Billy) of Sanford; brother Gary Blakeley (Ann) of Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00pm Wednesday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.
