Randolph Ward Sr

Randolph Ward Sr, of Sanford, passed away peacefully at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, on May 6, 2023. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday May 12, 2023, at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 11:30 am Saturday (5/13/2023) at Little Mission Cemetery (Bonham Road) in Magnolia.

 

Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his mother, Eliza Ophelia Southerland, his wife Magnolia Smith Ward, a son Randolph Ward Jr., daughter Patricia Ann Ward, siblings Mary Sue, Catherine, Elizabeth, Judge and Andrew.

 

At an early age Mr. Ward joined the United States Army, then he worked and owned several businesses including the Real Estate Company. He enjoyed playing his guitar, the outdoors, traveling, and especially spending time with his large family. He received his education in Rose Hill, NC Public Schools. He relocated and continued growing his family. He was a strong devoted father, great brother, and friend. He was most proud of his business Randy’s New Experience Bar & Grill in Baltimore, MD. He loved cars, and spending time with his family and he loved to tell jokes to express his comedic side. He had a generous heart and would help anyone that needed him. He was a great conversationalist and could keep a conversation going for hours.

 

Mr. Ward is survived by his daughters: Deborah Brown and Della Ann Ward of Maryland, he is survived by his sister Anna Roberts of Maryland, grandchildren Loni Brown, Jamin Brown (Kristin), Kelly Brown Jasmine Dorsey, Kevin Louden Jr,, Gregory Green Jr, Ahmed Wilson, Fatimah Wilson, Brittany Green, Brandon Ward, and Randolph Ward III; greatgrandchildren, William Rich Jr, Jahleel Brown, Kahassidy Coles, Jhaleeysa Coles, Ethan Maina, Charles Anthony Culver IV, Mia Anderson, Mashiyah Anderson, Aliyah Anderson, Makayah Anderson, Sophia Grey, Kaleb Louden, Jayden Green Lavender Peace, Amira Green, Sophie Louden, Nova Brown and Betty Ward; also his niece Lady Roberts and daughter Hallah Roberts-Ingram.

 

The family will receive friends Friday May 12th from 1:00 until 2:00 pm
