Peggy Kellam Royals

Peggy Kellam Handy Royals, 80 of Broadway passed away at her home peacefully, Monday December 12, 2022. Funeral Services will be held Friday December 16th, 2022, at Juniper Springs Baptist Church. 

Mrs Royals was born in Guilford County, a daughter of the late John and Thelma Kellam. Mrs Royals was a hairdresser for many years and owned her own shop. She was a kind and giving lady who spoke her mind. She enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables and yellow roses were always her favorite.  She especially loved spending time with her family and always hosted all the family gatherings. Her specialty was her biscuits and gravy, oh what a great southern cook. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husbands Jerry Royals, Jr Handy, son Denny Davis and brother Benny Kellam.

She is survived by her four daughters Cathy Davis Paschal and Jim of Broadway,  Robin Davis Berlinski and Kevin of Thomasville, Pamela Handy and Keith of Greensboro and Julie Handy and Ronnie of Climax;  Grandchildren are  Lucas Cox, Matthew Thomas, John and Adam Quakenbush, William and Jake Snow, Caitlin Creedon, Daniel Nestor, and Cole Worley; Great Grandchildren are  Maggie Cox, Bryson and Weston Thomas, Anna Smith, Sadi, Oliver, and Henley Quakenbush, Lileigh and Brooke Payne, Weslee Snow, Kason Snow, Blaire Miranda,  Cillian Creedon, Sky and Emma Worley; Sisters are Jean Phillips and Charles of Randleman, Mary John Clinard and Frank of Cherryville.

Family will receive friends starting at 1:00 pm before the funeral services at 2:00 pm Juniper Springs Baptist Church.
