Peggy Lassen

Peggy Porter Lassen, 96, of Sanford, passed away peacefully in her assisted living apartment with her family around her, Wednesday September 25, 2019.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The family will greet friends following the service.

Mrs. Lassen was born in Fayetteville NC to the late Charlie Henry Porter and Mamie Lemmond Porter but lived in Sanford her whole life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lassen. Peggy loved to travel and was a devoted member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, NC Shell Club, and a charter member of the Sanford Cotillion Club.

She is survived by her daughter Priscilla L. Warren and husband Col. Charles Warren of Fayetteville; son Ralph “Terry” Lassen and wife Linda of Pinehurst; grandchildren Jerry Scott Lassen, Chase Warren, Adam Stewart, and Paula Stewart; four great-grandchildren; and her sister Marlene Porter Lloyd of Sanford.
