Patricia Ann Plant Reynolds, born March 6, 1952, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 17th at her home in Raleigh. A Memorial service will be held at 12:00pm (noon) Friday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Reynolds was born in Sylacauga, AL a daughter of the late Robert Austin Plant and Robbie Lee Hammond Plant. Pat, as she was known to most, was a stay at home mom before beginning her career as a real estate agent. She stayed in real estate until her husband was transferred to Sanford, NC with Avondale Mills in 1988 where she began her career in mortgage banking. She was recognized for her many accomplishments in real estate and the mortgage industry, all while contributing to her community through various civic contributions. She loved her job but began what she would consider the greatest chapter of her career when she became “Nana” in 2005. She took such pride in this role that she retired from banking to selflessly spend her time with her grandchildren.
Pat loved with her whole heart, as evidenced by her 46 year marriage to Paul, Warner Paul Reynolds. While many of us know her as Pat, Paul has always known her as his Patricia. Pat is survived by her husband, Warren Paul Reynolds; daughter, Terri Lee Reynolds Tolley (John Thomas Tolley III); a son, Warner Andrew Reynolds (Abigale Elizabeth Caplan Reynolds); three grandchildren, John Thomas “Jack” Tolley IV, Cora Wright Reynolds, and Parke Austin Reynolds.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Assn, 3131 RDU Center Dr # 100, Morrisville, NC 27560; The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center, Duke University Medical Center, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, North Carolina 27710; or to North Carolina Community Foundation Relief Fund, 4601 Six Forks Road, Suite 524, Raleigh, North Carolina 27609
