Marylee Melinda Fazzalore Green, mother and grandmother, passed away in the early morning on April 8, 2026, at the age of 77.

Marylee is survived by her two daughters Teresa Green-Longley of Fairfield, Maine and Christina Hemmerley of Cameron, North Carolina and seven grandchildren, Jacqueline Longley, Brandon Longley, Hannah Longley, Joshua Smith, Sierra Smith, Jacob Smith, and Jeremiah Smith.

Marylee was born in Cumberland, Maryland on January 25, 1949 to James Vincent Fazzalore Jr. and Phyllis MacDonald. She lived in Keyser, West Virginia and was raised by her grandfather James Vincent Fazzalore Sr. and his wife, Irene Fazzalore.

Marylee was married to Melvin Douglas Green of Keyser on August 19, 1967 until his death in 2007. After the passing of her husband, she moved to North Carolina. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed passing on her knowledge and doing crafts, baking, and playing Scrabble together. She had a deep love for being in the outdoors and spent time planting and growing flowers and her garden. Marylee loved her animals and cared that all animals find loving homes. She was a woman of faith and surrendered her life to Christ. She dedicated much of her time studying the Bible and listening to teachers of the Word.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Marylee will be entombed on April 15, 2026, at 12 noon at Potomac Memorial Gardens in Keyser, West Virginia next to her husband. At Marylee's request a funeral service will not be held. In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations can be made to the Humane Society in Harnett County, NC, or Mineral County, WV, please make in memory of Marylee Fazzalore-Green.
