Mary Ann Dusenbury

Mary Ann Dusenbury, 74, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Sanford Health and Rehab.

Mary Ann was born in Lee County to George and Mary Lewis McCormick Dusenbury on June 27, 1951. She was a graduate of Sanford Central High School and Peace College in Raleigh, NC.

Mary Ann moved to Raleigh in the 1970’s where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for the North Carolina Legislature for several years. She went on to accept a position with Lt. Governor, Jimmy Green. During her time in Raleigh she was a member of the Raleigh Junior League. After leaving Raleigh, she returned to Sanford where she was a Sales Associate at Belk for many years.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Lewis Dusenbury, She is survived locally, by cousins, Terry Crawley (Oliver), Beth Hart (Danny), and David Dusenbury (Renee).

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. On Saturday, September 13 at St. Francis Anglican Church, 1089 Wilkins Drive, Sanford, NC. Visitation will be held in the Emmanuel Room at St. Francis beginning at 10:00 am until the service begins.
