Martha Lawson

Martha Leveta Darnell Lawson, of Sanford passed away Wednesday June 9, 2021. Funeral services will be held Monday June 14th at 1PM, at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Turners Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Lawson was born in Stokes Co, daughter of the late John Lewis Darnell and Martha Caroline Noah Darnell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Esker Eugene Lawson, a son Larry Lawson; daughter Cora Lee Lawson; brothers Elbert and Alden Darnell. Mrs. Lawson is survived by daughters Betty Ward and Ruby Martyak (Bobby); son John William Lawson (Sandy) of VA; 15 grandchildren, 38 Great-grandchildren and 15 Great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1:00 pm Monday prior to the funeral service.
