Margarette Maddox Parrish

Margarette  Maddox Parrish, 81, of Sanford passed away on Wednesday May 21, 2025. A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 24, 2025 at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home at 11am. The family will receive friends beginning at 10am before the service.

Margarette was born in Augusta Co. Virginia to the late Conley Ferdinand Maddox and Irene Fitzgerald Maddox. She loved baking and cooking, nature watching and cats but most of all she loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sidney Hunter Parrish; son Roger Maddox; daughter Teresa Ann Maddox; grandson Shannon Maddox; brothers Therman Cardwell, Carl Kenton, James Williams, Ernest Franklin, Homer Lee and son in law Alan Spivey.

She is survived by her sons Robert Parrish (Charisse) and Anthony Parrish (Reggie Bowman);daughter in law Catherine Gilmore (Roger), 9 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Lonnie Carson Maddox; and several nieces and nephews.
