Margaret Anne Friedman

Margaret Anne Friedman, 89, of Henrico, VA passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Friedman and her father and mother, Robert H. Smith Sr. and Margaret Harrington. 

She is survived by her brother, Robert H. (Carol V) Smith Jr. of Richmond, VA; her nephew, Eddie (Lara) Smith, their daughter, Scottie, and her eldest nephew, Robert H. Smith III. 

Anne was a proud and loyal employee of TWA airlines at Washington National Airport which allowed her to travel all over the world. Upon retirement in the late 90’s, she moved to her dream home on the scenic Piankatank River near Deltaville where she enjoyed her beautiful view on the water. She later moved to a retirement community at Discovery Village in the West End. 

Anne touched so many lives with her kindness, generosity and sharing of her stories of travel. A passionate and caring wife, sister, and aunt she loved her family more than life itself. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered as Aunt Anne. 

A graveside service will be held at Buffalo Cemetery in Sanford, NC on Thursday June 12, 2:00pm.
