Mae Bain

Helen Mae “Ma Bain” Gregory Bain, 89 of Sanford passed away Sunday January 24, 2021. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Friday at Lee Memory Gardens.

COVID 19 guidelines will be followed. Social distancing and facial coverings are required.

Mrs. Bain was born in Harnett Co a daughter of the late Robert and Florence Godwin Gregory. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ellis Bain Jr; a son, Robert Edwin Bain; siblings, Rev. John Marshall Gregory, Isabell Godwin, Raymond Gregory, Ludell Parker, Hal Gregory, Evedine Glover, Eugene “Buddy” Gregory, and Webster Gregory.

Mae “Ma Bain” was a loving mother, granny and great granny. She was an outstanding pie maker, and worked as a housewife, a babysitter and for many years at Trailblazers Steak House.

Mrs. Bain is survived by her daughters, Pamela J. Bain and Barbara Bain Cox (Stevie); grandchildren, Meredith Ashley Suitt, Christopher Cox and Shawn Cox (Kaycee); great granddaughter, Kensley Auburn Suitt; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends following the service.
