Lucille Poole Buchanan

Lucille Poole Buchanan, 94, of Sanford passed away on July 19, 2021. Graveside services will be held Friday July 23, 2021, at 11am at Buffalo Cemetery.

Lucille was born in 1927 in Lee Co. to the late Ivey W. Poole and Noreen Fields Choplin. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Burke Buchanan. She had such a giving spirit and loved life. Above all she loved the Lord and her family.

She is survived by her sisters Doris Spivey of Sanford and Marquetta Baker (Ralph) of Sanford; niece Lucille Rice (John) of Rougemont; nephew Elwin Buchanan (Sarah) of Seven Lakes; many nieces and nephews; special friend Lillian Barrett (Gene); and caregivers Debbie Riddle and Donald Clegg.

Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday July 22, 2021 where Mrs. Buchanan will lie in state until 5pm.
