Letha Allen Coggins

Letha Marsh Allen Coggins, 96, of Sanford, passed away Saturday March 2, 2019. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 6, 2019 at 1PM at Ephesus Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents William Henry Marsh and Della Dennis; husbands, JT Allen Jr. and Willis Coggins; her son, Jimmy Allen; sisters, Dorothy Woody, Roxie Dowdy, Maude Darnell, Ethel Bower, Nellie Murphy and Ollie Fields; and her brothers, Henry Marsh, Clyde Marsh, and Jasper Marsh.

Ms. Coggins was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church, she loved her church and was a member for over 70 years, loved the choir and helped in many needs. She loved her family. A special thanks from the family to Jenny Spainhour for all the love and caring for Mother.

Ms. Coggins is survived by her sons, Wayne Allen (Mary Ann) of Concord NC, Tony Allen (Karin) of Concord NC and Gray Allen of Sanford; daughters, Rebecca Stone (Charles) of Sanford and Brenda Hall (Jerry) of New London NC; brother in law Arthur Ray Allen (Maria) of Ft. Worth Texas; step-daughter Gladys McInnis of Sanford; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday March 5, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.
