Lawrence Michael Ligon
August 22, 1953 — October 6, 2022
Lawrence Michael Ligon, 69 of Sanford passed away Thursday October 6, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Monday October 10, 2022, at Cumnock Union Methodist Church at 3:00 pm. Burial to follow in Cumnock Cemetery.
Mr. Ligon was born in Danville Virginia to Shirley Lovette Ligon Bridges and the late Lawrence A. Ligon. He loved baseball and softball, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Marsha Hall Ligon; son Joshua Michael Ligon (Jennifer); daughter Maggie Ligon Cranford (Luke); grandchildren Rachel McLean Cranford, Michael Gardner Cranford, and Amelia Rae Ligon; Mother Shirley L. Bridges; brothers Keith Ligon and Mark Ligon; and sister Shirley Bridges.
A visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00-6:00 pm at Cumnock Union Methodist Church.
