Larry was a founding member of Crossroads Church where he served as a Deacon for over 20 years. Since retirement, Larry has enjoyed his place at the lake and traveling with his motorcycle friends as often as he could. He will be sorely missed by so many people whose lives he has touched.

Mr. Tart is survived by his wife Jackie Mitchell Tart; son David Tart (Marlee); Daughter Angela Tart Gipson (John); stepson Dustin Mitchell (Lauren); stepdaughters Michelle Mitchell Johnson (Edwin) and Crystal Mitchell; grand children Carson Tart, Walker Tart, Alivia Gipson, Rebecca Gipson, Wesley Gipson (Haley), Isabell Mitchell, Berkley Mitchell, Cassidy Johnson, and Mylee Mitchell; 2 great grandchildren; sister Shelby Tart Raynor (J.F.); sister in laws Rebecca Tart and Betty Tart; and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Faye Stewart Tart; parents Ulysses Alton Tart and Alma Byrd Tart; 7 siblings; and step grandson Caleb Johnson.

A visitation will be held before the service in the sanctuary at 1pm.

David, Marlee, Carson and Walker...we send you our love and sympathies on the passing of your Dad and grandfather. I had the pleasure to meet him when he was here in Dubuque. You guys are in our thoughts and prayers as you mourn his loss but celebrate his life and the extraordinary legacy he has left behind.

A wonderful, brother-in-law, friend, vacation pal and all around good man! He was a friend to everyone who knew him and shared his love for Jesus by the life he lived. I am blessed to have had Larry in my life! I love you my brother!❤️

A great friend, a good man, one who loved the Lord and others; Larry was a blessing to so many and will be truly missed. He lived a life that was a great example for all too follow. I am so glad I was able to be a part of his life and he a part of ours.
