Judith Bridges

Judith Harrington Bridges of Sanford peacefully passed away Tuesday June 1, 2021. A Memorial visitation will be held from 6:30 until 7:30 pm Friday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home. Mrs. Bridges was born in Stanley Co, daughter of the late Clawson Jones Harrington and Nan Stout Harrington. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Turner. Judy was a graduate of Women’s College in Greensboro (now UNCG), earning a degree in Biology. She later went back to school to become a Paralegal and later retired from the State of North Carolina as a Parole and Probation Officer. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Gloria B. Perez (Albert), Ronald Bridges (Laura) and Rodney Bridges (Betsy) all of Sanford; Bill Bridges of Sanford; grandchildren, Carter Perez, Palmer Bridges, Sawyer Perez, Morgan Gavin (Patrick), Katie Bridges and Emma Bridges; and her faithful, four-legged companion, Norma Jean.
