Josephine Womack

Josephine Holler Womack, 95 of Sanford passed away Monday February 24, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 4:00pm Thursday at Buffalo Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service.

Mrs. Womack was born Lee Co, daughter of the late D. C. Holler and Inez Johnson Holler. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Henry O. Womack, a daughter, Susan Womack Plyler, and her brother, D. C. Holler Jr. Mrs. Womack was a graduate of Salem College earning a degree in music. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church Sanford where she was a former Minister of Music and, also served as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church in Rockingham.

Mrs. Womack is survived by her son, Stephen Womack (Kathie) of Sanford; their children, Brian Womack (Sarah) and Dr. Maggie Wester (Jonathan) and great granddaughter Kylie; son in law Justin Plyler of Myrtle Beach, SC, their children, Hank Plyler and Sims Plyler (Tara) and great granddaughter Hannah; Many nieces and nephews.
