Joseph Kendle Jones, 90 of Sanford passed away Wednesday February 26, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Monday (3/2/2020) at Merry Oaks Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the New Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Jones was born in Lee Co, son of the late Willie Dewey Jones and Myrtie Jones. He was preceded in death by wives, Ethel Wood Jones and Pauline Denson Jones, and a son John Henry Jones.
Mr. Jones is survived by daughters, Esther Lee Jones Poole of Sanford, Mary Fowler (Gerald) of Apex, and Sharon Seagroves (Wayne) of Willow Springs; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.
The family will greet friends beginning at 2:00 pm Monday at Merry Oaks Baptist Church.
