Joseph Stanford Hunter

Joseph Stanford Hunter, 88 of Sanford passed away Tuesday October 7, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday October 13th at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home. The family will greet friends starting at 1:00 pm Monday before the funeral. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.

Mr. Hunter was born in Lee Co, a son of the late Rupert L Hunter and Ruby Holder Hunter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelby Heath Hunter; siblings, Tommie, John, James, Roland, and Roberta. He retired from Coty.

Mr. Hunter is survived by his sisters, Barbara Jackson, Blanche Womack, and Sue Heath; special niece and nephew, Sharon Womack and Randy Hunter; special friend, Marilyn Godfrey Cummings; many nieces and nephews.
