John David Walton

John David Walton, 31 of Sanford passed away Saturday July 16, 2016. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Friday at Manna Church in Fayetteville. The family will greet friends following the service.

John was born in Shreveport, LA to David and Barbara Walton. John grew up in First Baptist Church of Sanford where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was Baptized and taught there in the children’s ministry. John graduated from Lee Co High School in 2003 and was a member of the 2001 State Champion Baseball team, and has taught Sunday School for 20 plus years. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ulim Fong Sr and Margie Fong, and paternal grandparents, AG Walton Jr, and Athelene Baker Walton.

Mr. Walton is survived by his parents, Dave and Barbara Walton of Sanford; sister, Elizabeth Walton Stewart and husband William; niece, Juliane Kim Stewart.
