John P. Oakley Sr.

John Prewitt Oakley Sr., 76, of Sanford passed away on Friday January 12, 2024. No services are planned at this time.

Mr. Oakley was born in Mt. Sterling KY, to the late John Henry Oakley and Iris Colard Oakley. Mr. Oakley served at Pope Airforce base. He loved woodworking, fishing, and motorcycles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his precious wife Vicky Lane Oakley.

He is survived by his son John P. Oakley Jr.; 3 grandchildren Ryan Oakley, Kiersten Soils, Samantha Oakley; great granddaughter Zelda Oakley; brothers Henry Oakley (Julie); Mike Oakley (Pam), Larry Oakley (Donna), and Dennis Oakley (Missy); and sister Iris Caldwell.
