John Brady Lucas

John Brady Lucas, 62 of Broadway passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday at Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. Lucas was born in Lee Co, son of the late Paul LeRoy Lucas and Myrtle Bonnie Buie Lucas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Lynne Hart Lucas, and brothers, Paul L. Lucas Jr, and Charles E. Lucas. John was a Veteran of the Air Force, and a member of Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church. For many years he worked at Cherokee Brick and later at Lee Brick and, also was a truck driver.

Mr. Lucas is survived by his children, Melissa Torres (Juan Carlos), Chad Willett (April), Tina Mae Willett (Mark Gaitan), and Sabrina Arnette (Jeffrey); sister, Margaret Lucas (Bill Burby); grandchildren, Andrew Hickman, Kelsie Hart, Lucas Hickman, Pearson Cole, Roberto Gonzalez, Denis Gonzalez, Kailynn Torres, Ruby Lynne Willett, and Emir Menendez Contreras; two nieces, Brandi Howard, and Elesha Celcer (Chad); and two nephews, Paul Joseph Vasquez-Lucas (Kate) and Christopher Vasquez-Lucas (Amy); sister in law, Irene Vasquez-Lucas.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home and other times at the Chad Willett Residence.

Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
