Jobie Chute

Jobie Fletcher Chute, 83, of Sanford passed away on Monday May 4, 2026. A celebration of life will be Sat. May 23 from 2-5pm at Carolina Trace Country Club

Jobie was a very talented person. She enjoyed crafting of all kinds, cooking, baking, music, dance, and the ocean. She taught ballroom but her real love was country line dancing. She was in a popular line dancing group in the 90s called the Carolina Country Strokers. They even performed on television. Later in life she taught line dancing to her friends and community in Carolina Trace.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Chute and parents Lloyd Fletcher and Lidas Fletcher.

She is survived by her daughter Jenie Chute and stepson Tim Chute.
