Jimmie Ralph Yarborough

Jimmie Ralph Yarborough, 93, of Sanford passed away on Thursday August 21, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Sunday August 24th, at Shallow Well Church. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.

Ralph was born in Lee Co. to the late Lewis Yarborough and Geneva Sloan Yarborough. He was a dedicated member of Shallow Well Church and was a member of the church choir. He was a member of the Fingerprints Band for many years. He enjoyed restoring antique cars and playing the guitar for his grandchildren, especially around Christmas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Edith Allison Yarborough; brother Edwin Yarborough; a half-sister, Becky Harris and special aunt Myrtle Rae Poe.

He is survived by his daughter Sue Yarborough Atkins (Fred); grandchildren Joshua Atkins (Nash) and Samatha Atkins Williams (Mike); daughter Betty Cox; grandchildren Allison Steinbeck and Abram Cox; 5 great grandchildren; and special cousin Sammy Poe.

Family will receive friends starting at 2:00pm Sunday in the Parlor before the service.
