Jeffrey Allen Merriman

Jeffrey Allen Merriman, 55 of Cary passed away Thursday August 22, 2019. A memorial service will be held 3:00pm Sunday September 1, 2019 at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home Chapel. The family will greet friends following the service.

Mr. Merriman was born in Ohio to the late Gene David Merriman and Dorothy Wolfe Merriman. Jeff spent 13 years in the US Navy as a boiler technician, he served through Khadhafi's Line of Death, the Achille Laurel High-jacking and Desert Storm. He retired early. He worked with Biogen for 14 years rising to a Supervisory position. He loved his work and his team very much. Jeffrey was an avid gamer, spending hours working on strategies and enjoying the company of his friends. He talked to people and more importantly he listened as well. He never had an unkind word for anyone. He lived an exemplary life. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend, he was a beautiful human being.

He is survived by his wife Melody Anne Merriman of Cary; sons, Cory Allen Merriman, Jeffrey David Merriman, and  William Michael Merriman; Andrew Torres (son-in-law), brothers, Gene David “Duffy” Merriman, Mathew Christian and Paul Baatz; sisters, Faith Merriman, Julie (Scott) Adams; aunt, Phillis Simeth;  sister’s-in-law Lisa Merriman, and Susan Ligget; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
