Jean Webster Craven
Jean Webster Craven, 73 of Sanford passed away Sunday December 9, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Craven was born in Lee Co the daughter of Marion G. Craven and Arlene Webster Craven. She was a graduate of Meredith College and worked for many years with the NC Employment Security Commission.
Mrs. Craven is survived by her daughter, Laura Joy Wren Craven and her dad, John Lipscomb of Sanford; one sister, Susanne Schmidt (Sam) of VA; niece Jennifer Schmidt.
The family will greet friends at 1:00pm Friday prior to the Funeral at 2:00pm.

My heart and prayers goes out to Joy and Family. Jean was a very kind, loving and thoughtful Woman.
I was close to Jean through her Precious Daughter Joy. Joy is best friends and was in school with my Granddaughter.

Jean was such a sweet lady. Growing up our neighborhood was filled with children. Jean and Mary Ann Shropshire were the older girls in the neighborhood and I tagged along as much as I could. They were so kind to me. I also credit them with saving my life when there was an accident one night. My sincere condolences. Kathy Johnson Woodell
