James Phillip York

James Phillip York 64 of Sanford passed away August 19, 2019 at Central Carolina Hospital. Services will be held at a later date.

James was born in Jacksonville, Florida, a son of Patsy Louise Dillman York and the late Lewis Lee York. He is preceded in death by a brother Rick York and a son Joshua Keith York. James enjoyed reading, time playing with his grandchildren and many outside activities.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Edgemon York, his mother Patsy Dillman York, his son William Dwayne York (Jennifer) of Texas; daughter Lauren Nikhol Helverson (Dustin) of Sanford; grandchildren Liam York, Ezra York, Sydney Helverson, Amos York and Noah Helverson, also sister Leslie Lyons (Donny) of Texas and brother Doug York (Tammie) of Texas.
