James Radford "Raddy" Holton Jr.

James Radford “Raddy” Holton Jr., 88 of Sanford passed away Tuesday May 5, 2026. Private Graveside services will be held on Monday. Family will receive friends beginning at 2:30pm on Monday May 11th in the fellowship building at St Francis Anglican Parish.

Raddy was born in Ayden, NC, son of the late James Radford Holton Sr. and Geneva Cook Holton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Perry Holton, two infant children Carla and James and his companion, Irmgard Hill. He was a Veteran of the US Navy, Secretary-Treasurer of Lee Brick an avid fox hunter and a Master in Red Mountain Fox Hounds.

Mr. Holton is survived by his daughter, Courtney Holton Kobe and husband Richard William Kobe; granddaughters, Lindsay Elizabeth White, and husband Charles Thomas White III, Kathryn Tyler Scercy and husband James Alexander Scercy, and Holton Leigh Stokes, and husband Charles McRae Stokes III; great grandsons, Robert Paul Scercy, Lucas Radford White, and Maxwell Thomas White; and the late Irmgard Hill’s daughter Carol Hill.
