James Matthew Knight

James Matthew Knight, 25, of Sanford, passed away Saturday, August 3rd, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm Thursday at Lemon Springs Baptist Church. The family will greet beginning at 6:00pm.

Mr. Knight was born in Sanford, a son of Mary Hiles Knight and the late James Numan Knight. He graduated from Southern Lee High School and Central Carolina Community College. He was currently working with Caterpillar, Inc. Sanford and had previously work for Chatham Habitat Humanity in Pittsboro for five years where he touched many lives. 

He was also preceded in death by grandparents George Elmer Hiles and Mary Josephine Hiles.

Matthew is survived by his mother Mary Hiles Knight; brother Joseph Knight; fiancé Brittany Elizabeth Dollar; grandparents Thomas Branton Knight and Brenda Cox Eddy; best friends David Doss and Mike Breedlove.

In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations made to Rogers-Pickard Funeral Home to help with the funeral expense.
