James Ervin "Jimmy" Howington

James Ervin “Jimmy” Howington, 66 of Sanford passed away Saturday April 23, 2022. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday May 6, 2022, at Turners Chapel Church Cemetery.
Mr. Howington was born in Sanford a son of the late Mahala Hawkins Howington and Ruby Morrison Howington. He was preceded in death by brothers, Marvin Leroy Gillis and Sammy Gordon Gillis. Jimmy was a mechanic with Sanford Contractors.
Mr. Howington is survived by his son, Joseph Howington; grandchildren, Jaryn Howington, Jordan McKay and Natalia Smithson; brother, Johnny Howington (Brenda) of Olivia; former wife, Susan Gunter.
