James Emit Ashburn
April 7, 1939 — April 6, 2016
James Emit Ashburn, 76 of Cameron passed away Wednesday April 6th 2016 at his residence. Graveside services will be held 2:00pm Friday at Buffalo Cemetery.
Mr. Ashburn was born in Lee Co, son of the late Robert E. Ashburn and Nancy Ayers Ashburn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Lucille Cooper and Nonnie Robson. James retired as owner/operator of Ashburn Logging.
He is survived by his wife, Cora Lee Britt Ashburn; daughters Rena Vaughn of Cameron, and Lynne Dempsey (Chuck) of Cameron ; three grandsons and one great granddaughter.
Memorial contributions can be made to Grace Chapel Church, 2605 Jefferson Davis Hwy Sanford, NC 27332-7108.
