Jack Leslie Munday

Jack Leslie Munday, 98, born May 4 1918, went to be with his Heavenly Father December 28 in Sanford NC at Parkview Rest and Retirement Center.
Jack was a WWII Veteran fighting in the Pacific in Okinawa and Saipan a purple heart and bronze star recipient. Jack retired from the Bronx Savings Bank in NY and then retired to NC. Jack was loved by so many and was a funny, caring, loving, kind gentleman who had an amazing sense of humor.
Jack is survived by his brother, Albert Munday, 100 years old in San Diego, Ca, son Jack L. Munday of NY, Scott Munday (Terri Munday) of Sanford, NC and a daughter Nancy Munday of NJ. 9 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending. Burial will be in Tappan, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations, in memory of Jack Munday, can be made to the Lee County Enrichment Center, 1615 S 3rd St, Sanford, NC 27330.
