Ida Rose Buffkin, 83, passed away on May 16, 2022.
She loved music and dancing, true crime shows, and taking care of her plants. She grew up in Evergreen, North Carolina and was known by many names throughout her life- ‘Ida Rose’, ‘Flossy’, ‘Ms. Ida’, ‘Nana Rose’ and ‘Rosie’. She worked for many years at Troxler Electronics in RTP and the Bull Chute in Raleigh and had good friends there. She was sharp as a tack, sweet and salty, and unafraid to speak her mind.
She is survived by her son Daryle Buffkin; her siblings Monte Britt, Laverne Britt Boswell, and Deanna Britt Wall; her grandchildren Britt Patterson, Benjamin Patterson, Sarah Patterson Bullard, and Caitlin Patterson; and great-grandchildren Lily Riggsbee, Kennah Patterson, Shepard Patterson, Rivers Patterson, Kenton Bullard, and Quinn Bullard. Other special family members are Aaron Bullard, Steven Rathburn, and Susan Wright.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ima and Lawton Britt, her sister Sharon Britt Thompson, and her daughters Wanda Buffkin Patterson and Kim Buffkin Blanton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, and Holly’s Nest Animal Rescue.
