Guy Denzel "Denny" Pointer

Guy Denzil “Dennie” Pointer Jr., 65, of Sanford passed away on July 26, 2026. A funeral service will be on Sunday August 2, 2026, at 4pm at Calvary Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 3pm before the service at the church.

Guy was born a son of Guy Denzil Pointer Sr. and the late Mary Skeens Pointer. Dennie was a loving father and husband. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, barbequing and feeding his family and friends and being the life of the party. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and teaching others to hunt and fish. He loved people and was said to have never met a stranger. He was a professional builder and helped build the addition to his church. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister Brenda Leigh.

He is survived by his wife Linda Pointer; children Trey Pointer and Aiden Pointer, Timothy Edwards Jr. (Stephanie), Alisha Kreitzman (Gary), Lialoni Criswell and Jaysen Criswell; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; father Guy D. Pointer Sr. (Betty); brother Steven Pointer (Adrianna); sister Kathy Cunningham; half-sisters Trisha Pointer and Natalie Pointer; brother in law Bob Leigh; and many nieces and nephews.
